BLACK MEN DO VOTE: HOW TO WIN THE LAST PERSUADABLE BASE

At Black Men Vote, our research represents one of the most intentional efforts to understand the political attitudes, motivations, and lived experiences of Black men across key communities and battleground states. Through direct engagement, qualitative conversations, voter analysis, and issue-based insights, this work moves beyond traditional polling to capture the cultural, economic, and civic realities shaping Black men’s participation in democracy today.

The findings provide a roadmap for how candidates, organizations, and movements can authentically engage Black men, not through transactional outreach, but through sustained investment, respect, and community-centered messaging. Our research identifies the issues that matter most, the barriers to participation, and the strategies most effective in building trust, increasing turnout, and mobilizing long-term civic engagement. Ultimately, this work is about redefining what it takes to win: meeting Black men where they are, speaking to their aspirations and challenges honestly, and treating them as a decisive force in shaping the future of American democracy.
