Welcome to a new kind of old school politics: one that turns the volume up on the voices getting stuff done in D.C. and addresses the everyday concerns of voters.

We started in 2019, knocking on doors of independent voters in South Carolina and New Hampshire. No staff, just a big idea: a renewed common-sense center that meets voters where they are—to win back power, govern responsibly, and depolarize our politics.

We identify and support bold, pragmatic candidates running in red and purple House districts that the Democratic Party overlooks. And its proven to work: voters noticed what DC missed—Welcome candidates outperformed other Democrats by 5+ points in both 2022 and 2024, more than any other Democratic group.

Each year, we host WelcomeFest, the largest public gathering of centrist Democrats in the country. At WelcomeFest, we convene elected officials, media figures, journalists, and thought leaders to chart a new path forward for our party—providing a platform for connection, conversation, and action.
